Towpath Community Project We have recently secured funds (ESF and LSC) to assist people to gain skills to help them to get back to work.
We will be working at Great Lever Family Learning Centre, The Nightingale Centre, Haliwell Library, at the Al-Zahra community group, with Bolton Community of Mosques and at the Hope Centre in Johnson Fold.
The project will involve Bolton Literacy Trust (BLT) working outreach in the community with activities based on 'discovering your potential'
There will be different levels to this - discovering your passions, discovering good health, discovering digital and discovering your inner self.
We will also provide advice, job searches and confidence building activities, help with basic skills and support for progression to other courses, jobs and college courses.

The funding we have secured has enabled the local action group GLUG to get signage to enable people to find the Great Lever Family Learning Centre with more ease.
BLT is also working with RPLace at the Hope Centre at Johnson Fold where we run a 'Words & Pictures' course for parents and toddlers and have helped them gain laptops enabling parents to access information through health websites etc.
Please call us for further details on 01204 332760. Finding your talentBLT is an active partner in Bolton's Finding Your Talent programme - which will give exciting opportunities for children and young people to experience high quality arts experiences. In our case we are providing visits to the Bridgewater hall to work with inspirational poet (and our patron) Terry Caffrey on writing skills.
 KIT KIT system
We use our fantastic KIT system in the community and with schools. Interactive quizzes and games are a hit with people of all ages. To book a session, contact BLT on 01204 332760.
