Great Lever Family Learning Centre

A weekly timetable of activities is run from this centre:

From January 2010:
 
Monday 1-2.30pm: IT drop-in.
Monday 1-2pm: crafts.
Tuesday 1-2pm: Literacy drop-in.
Wednesday 10-11.30: IT drop-in
Wednesday 1-2.30pm: Reading group for beginner ESOL learners
Wednesday 1-2.30: Great Lever local history group
Thursday 10-11.30: English (ESOL) classes including creche
Thursday 1-3pm: JAM! Music workshop.
Friday 10-12: cookery

Age Concern, Farnworth

One of the Bolton Literacy Trust volunteers runs a reading group at Age Concern, Farnworth. The group meet at the site on Cross Street the first Monday of every month at 10 am. Pop along if you are interested in joining this group. For further details, call Farnworth Age Concern on (01204) 701525

Bolton YMCA

Every Monday morning, we run classes for those wanting to learn English. Call for further details.

The Nightingale Centre, Great Lever

Our knitting group operates from the Nightingale centre on Thursday mornings - why not give it a try. No experience or equipment necessary.
 
We also run an ESOL class on a Tuesday morning from this venue. Call now for details.

The Hope Centre, Johnson Fold

Come along to the Hope Centre to join in our parents and toddlers session - Words and Pictures. This fun session takes place on Tuesday mornings, 9.30 - 11.30 during term time. It is for parents, grandparents, carers and their toddlers and babies - everyone welcome!
 
Also come along to IT sessions between 1 and 2 at the centre.

Firwood School

'Parents as Learners'
 
Sessions take place on Wednesday afternoons and explore different ways parents can support children's education. Sessions also provide opportunities for parents to meet and support each other.
