Next GLUG meeting: Monday 20th September 2010 at 10 am at Great Lever Family Learning Centre

Current projects:
Knitting the Community Together - GLUG project funded by the Community Development Foundation

Inspired by our knitters, GLUG have secured some funds to get more groups going that will bring people of diffeent cultures together for a common purpose. Once engaged in an activity, we hope the group members will learn about each others' cultures and celebrate differences.
Waiting to Learn - GLUG project funded by NLDC
GLUG have secured funding for a new project! The money will enable GLUG members to go out and about on the streets of Great Lever on Tuesday afternoons putting up posters and delivering flyers and trying to encourage local people into informal learning.
The project will also involve monthly 'Learning Get-togthers' at the Great Lever Family Learning Centre where local people can participate in a range of fun and informal learning activities.
We are running computer sessions and reading sessions and also are eager to hear from volunteers wanting to learn new skills and join us in our ventures Click here for details of sessions you could join in with in Great Lever.
